Specifications for hot water systems in domestic environments are detailed within Part G of the Building Regulations which consider the safety of all occupants but especially young children and vulnerable adults.
Products used in bathrooms of new build and refurbished homes must conform to the requirements of TMV2. Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs) are a mandatory requirement on baths to ensure the bath water does not exceed 48°C through the installation of a TMV2 Approved TMV. Water efficiency is also being driven by Part G.
Part M of the Building regulations volume 1 also sets out the specific needs for access to and use of buildings which are dwellings. All fittings that come into contact with potable water also need to be Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) approved.
The Reliance Water Controls range encompasses a host of products which are suitable for domestic hot water systems to ensure water safety right from the boiler through the heating system or to delivery at the tap or shower.
Products include Thermal Balancing Valves, TMVs, PRVs, P&Ts, expansion vessels and an array of heating controls.
