RWC (UK) Ltd all set for Healthcare Estates 2015

Leading UK manufacturer Reliance Worldwide Corporation (RWC) is heading to this year’s Healthcare Estates event (20-21 October) to showcase its latest product innovations under its Reliance Water Controls brand that help to ensure water safety and control, and hygiene and infection control.

On Stand E27, RWC will be unveiling its brand new Hygiene Module, a unique system that manages and regulates the flow and temperature of water in healthcare facilities. Designed to support the requirements of each facility, the Hygiene Module helps nursing, estates and housekeeping teams to keep water moving to reduce stagnation and protect against the potential for bugs to breed. The module is placed at the end of the water supply and set to self-regulate the flow and temperature of hot and cold water in line with each healthcare client’s own parameters.

Visitors will also be able to find out more about the very latest additions to the company’s Caremix® clinical thermostatic range of brassware, with the T3 and S3 taps on display. The Caremix range has been designed and developed to provide an easy-to-maintain quality solution that meets all infection control requirements, and the Physical Vaporising Disposition (PVD) coating ensures taps stay looking good for longer.

RWC’s new Specification Sales Manager for the Health & Care Sector, Paul Musgrove, says; “Showcasing new products like the Hygiene Module for the first time is really exciting as it provides a practical solution to some of the most challenging issues in healthcare today.

“For example, the changing circumstances that surround the issues of pseudomonas and legionella control in UK healthcare facilities, makes the design, supply, installation and maintenance of water systems a big challenge. Varying industry viewpoints and new technologies also add confusion when it comes to making the right decision on product choice.

“We aim to provide solutions that address each customer’s specific and unique requirements in tackling water safety, scalding potential and hygiene and infection control. Our products help to ensure good clinical maintenance procedures are easily followed to help healthcare teams safeguard patient welfare.

“At RWC water safety is in our DNA and it’s critical to the safety and success of every healthcare facility, so we’re looking forward to telling visitors to Healthcare Estates about how we can help them.”

RWC UK Joins the BIM Revolution

As a company always at the forefront of the plumbing and heating industry, Reliance Worldwide Corporation (UK) Ltd (RWC UK) is leading the way with BIM to provide Architects and Specifiers with easy access to BIM objects for products within the Reliance Water Controls range.

BIM utilises the latest 3D modelling and information management system to provide a standardised system bringing together all of the information about every component of a building, in one place and permits integration of different aspects of the design more effectively.

The Construction Industry Council (CIC) has been a prime mover in developing and leading this programme with the Government and has put in place a number of industry focused programmes to assist the supply chain to gear up to the Government’s mandate that public sector centrally procured construction projects will be delivered using BIM by 2016.

Manufacturers therefore need to produce BIM objects, which include 2d and 3d drawings and detailed specifications of their products.  The objects can then be downloaded and used within the BIM software packages to support architects and specifiers with designs that take into account all aspects of the building fabrication.  The result is better designed systems with fewer on site contingency measures needed which also reduces costs.

Eric Winter, Technical Director, comments ‘RWC UK is keen to support the latest industry initiatives.  As a company that likes to stay at the leading edge of our industry, it was a logical step for us to create BIM objects for our products in order to meet the latest technology requirements and support our customer needs’.
