The Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC) is a not for profit trade body for the plumbing and heating industry in England and Wales. The APHC is committed to helping plumbing and heating contractors run professional and profitable businesses, whilst ensuring consumers have better standards of workmanship and service. They work closely with key organisations such as Government, Local Authorities, Training Bodies and Consumer Organisations to ensure that best practice in the industry is promoted and that quality plumbing and heating contractors are fairly represented.

The Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM), is an International Professional Engineering Institute, and specialist Institute for the Healthcare Estates Sector. IHEEM’s primary purpose, as a professional development organisation, is to keep members up to date with developing technology and changing regulations, and various types of membership are available.
SNIPEF (Scottish & Northern Ireland Plumbing Employers’ Federation) is the trade association for plumbing and heating businesses based in Scotland and Northern Ireland. SNIPEF provides professional and practical assistance to plumbing and heating businesses in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The Society of Public Health Engineers (SoPHE) aims to provide a higher profile and focus for public health engineers within CIBSE. The Society has its own classes of membership independent of those of CIBSE and is able to provide designatory letters to those who are suitably qualified and experienced in public health engineering.
