NEW PART G LEGISLATION EFFECTIVE APRIL 2010

A new edition of Part G (Sanitation, hot water and water efficiency) of the Building Regulations for England and Wales comes into force in April 2010, requiring that baths in new build homes be fitted with a protective device, such as a thermostatic mixing valve (TMV), to limit the temperature of hot water at the bath outlet to a safe maximum. Similar regulations have been in place in Scotland since 2006.

Reliance Water Controls offer a range of TMV2 approved TMVs that meet the installation requirements of the Part G amendments.

NEW PRODUCTS

NEW RANGE

Reliance is pleased to release its new INFRA-RED version of its popular Caremix® Thermostatic Tap.

Concern about cross contamination in some areas of healthcare institutions, for example a surgeon's scrub trough, means that hands-free operation can become as important as the protection from scalding.

The new Caremix® IR3 infra-red controlled thermostatic tap fits both bills.  All of the normal features of the popular Caremix® range are still there: like integral isolating valves, filters and flow regulators and the TMV3 level of scald protection demanded in the healthcare environment, but with the added benefit of hands-free operation.  The system can be supplied as battery operated or mains connected through a transformer depending on customer preference and site suitability.

NEW RANGE

Reliance is pleased to release an extended range of the Heatguard® TMV2 and TMV3 range of valves, incorporating new, reduced price direct compression connection options and the return of our popular Heatguard® TMV2-2 and TMV3-8 specification options.

Reliance has the most comprehensive range of thermostatic mixing valves in the UK.  The range includes group mixing valves, solar tempering valves, underfloor heating mixing valves and a vast selection of TMV2 and TMV3 approved valves.

NEW RANGE

Reliance is pleased to release its new range of stainless steel Underfloor Heating Manifolds.

The latest addition to the Reliance portfolio of underfloor heating controls is a comprehensive range of stainless steel underfloor heating distribution manifolds.

The Reliance underfloor manifolds come pre-built as a kit mounted on brackets, ready to attach to the wall.  The kit comes with union type isolating ball valves, filling valves, and air release points supplied separately as standard.

A full range of connection fittings for PEX and multi-layer pipe as well as other optional accessories are also available.

Reliance successfully launched its new range of Caremix® TMV3 Thermostatic Taps at the recent Healthcare Estates 2009 show in Harrogate.

Our Caremix® range of thermostatic taps incorporate thermostatic technology approved to TMV3 and the D08 specification to control the temperature of hot water in healthcare bathrooms.  As Reliance thermostatic mixing valves use a single piece cartridge for the temperature sensitivity and control, it was possible to build this into a tap body.  Use of the cartridge style technology throughout the tap range means that stocking spares and maintenance are easy and straightforward.
